Thursday 6th June 7.30pm - An Evening With Stuart Brown (Members Only)

Another in the series of 'An Evening With...' this time with member Stuart Brown.


A well seasoned and established member of the club, Stuart has won a number of competitions in various clubs and events across the UK.


Stuart would like to give members the opportunity to explore his vast collection of props. If there is something you have seen Stuart perform or talk about at previous events that you would like to see again, handle or explore then please message him at


Maybe its the Dancing Hankies, his vinatge folding mirror or any of his classic childrens entertainment props.


It will also be interspersed with a mix of ideas and tips for close up, childrens and stage that Stuart has developed over the years. There will be tricks with old and new along with original ideas that members can utilise in their own repitoire.


As winner of The British Magic Stage Manipulation 2007,Inter Society Magic Stage Competition 2004, Derby Magic Circle Stage Competition (8 time) plus numerous others - Stuart has a wealth of experience for everybody to explore and make use of.


Members Only - 7.30pm start at Pond Hills Lane Community Centre.


Thursday 20th June 7.30pm - LOOCH MINDREADER Lecture (Members Only)

Looch is an Award-Winning Mind Reader & Magician based in Nottingham. He specialises in providing corporate entertainment and wedding entertainment at a wide range of events all over the UK & Europe.

His mind blowing skills, combined with his humour & professionalism have resulted in him becoming one of the most sought after acts of this type for hire in the country today.

Having performed for Celebrity’s, Sports Stars and Politicians, Looch has recently been endorsed by former Dragons Den star Theo Paphitis. He has lectured to thousands of performers all over the world and has written several best selling books on mind reading & mentalism. He is considered by his peers to be one of the most creative performers of this kind in the world today.


He's coming to the Guild to present a lecture consisting of Close Up & Stage mentalism effects that are simple and direct in nature.



Thurs 4th July 7.30pm - GETTING YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!! (Members Only)

An evening for 2 members to come along and perform their act to Guild members. The objective will be have club members help to improve the act in a constructive way.
There'll be one member performing in the first half and the other member will perform in the second.
If you are interested it will be strictly decided on a first come first served basis and you need to e-mail President Andrew Morrison to register your interest and discuss further...

Thurs 18th July 7.30pm - FISH AND CHIP EVENING OF MAGIC (Public Event)

Its the Nottingham Guild Of Magicians' annual Fish & Chip Evening on Thursday 18th July!!!


Open to the General Public, tickets cost £10 and include a full evening of Magic performed over two halves in a cabaret setting at the Guild's Headquarters at Pond Hills Lane Community Centre.


Included in the price is a simple but delicious Fish and Chip Supper which will be served during the interval. Tickets are now available via PayPal below where you can pay by credit or debit card (You will need to bring/display e-mail reciept to the event to gain entry)

We meet regularly in a cheerful atmosphere to exchange ideas, listen to lectures and practise magic! The Guild meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month, starting at 7.30pm prompt.


Visiting magicians are welcome to our lectures but must be a member of an accredited magic society (and bring their membership card with them on the day) OR be proposed by a current and active member of the Guild.


Please note that as a non-member, you will only be able to attend up to a maximum amount of 3 lectures per financial year ( January to December ) at the cost of £10 per lecture.
